I was referred to Michael from Reflex Performance by a friend at a soccer carnival at the beginning of 2022, and I have been training with him ever since. My goals were to build muscle and get stronger.

At the beginning, I weighed 51 kg, and in the last 1.5 years of training, I have put on 13 kg of muscle and now weigh 64 kg. Before I started training with Michael, my 1RM (one-repetition max) for the back squat was 85 kg, for the deadlift it was 95 kg, for the bench press it was 32.5 kg, and I could only manage 1 strict pull-up. Now, I'm not only stronger and fitter but also healthier. I've added 15 kg to my back squat, can perform 95 kg deadlifts for 3 reps, increased my max strict pull-ups to 7 reps, and am bench pressing 40 kg for 5 cluster reps, incorporating a 2-second eccentric phase and a pause.

Training with Michael has been a transformative experience, leading to significant improvements in my physical condition. I've been using Michael from Reflex Performance to write my ongoing training program for the last seven months. My goals leading into his program were pretty simple: I wanted to lose body fat and improve my strength and overall cardio. Prior to reaching out to Michael, I was lifting weights three to four times a week and going for two 10km runs, but not seeing any progress.

Michael tailored my program around my goals, the equipment I have available, and how often I can train. I've found that by using his knowledge and experience to write a specific program for me, I haven't had to train any more than what I was doing previously. However, I've managed to lose 6 kg while gaining muscle mass. I've improved my squats and deadlifts by over 30 kg and increased my bench press by 15 kg. I've also been able to take minutes off my fastest 5 km run and 5 km row.

Michael updates my program weekly and has always been available if I have any questions or queries. This has given me confidence that he is always monitoring my progress and adjusting my program accordingly. The app he uses is easy to follow and provides videos of the exercises I need to complete, so if I'm ever unsure about how to do a particular exercise, the answers are readily available. All in all, I'm very happy with what I've been able to achieve with Michael in a short period of time, and I look forward to continuing my fitness journey with him.

I started training with Michael in early 2023, aiming to improve my strength, functionality, and fitness. The primary goal was to complete the 2023 Melbourne Marathon while gaining strength and maintaining muscle mass.

Michael's programming was tailored to my fitness level, strengths, and weaknesses. I quickly improved in all areas, thanks to his constant adjustments that allowed me to recover adequately and train at an appropriate intensity. I knew several people training with Michael, and not once did our programming look similar; each person's regime was tailored to their own needs.

I had attempted the Melbourne Marathon in 2022 under my own training, but with Michael's guidance, I managed to achieve a 30+ minute personal best—a huge testament to the quality of his coaching. I couldn't recommend Michael highly enough if you're after serious results.

I engaged Michael after I retired from football and was seeking a program to keep up my fitness and build strength. Michael began by completing some testing and then writing me a comprehensive program, which evolves and changes depending on your performance on a weekly basis.

I've been using him for about 18 months, and I've been absolutely stoked with the results. Some of which include almost doubling my maximum pull ups, hitting a 1RM of 180kg on a deadlift and increasing my Yo-yo test by a full level from 16.1 when I started with Michael to 17.3. Currently I travel frequently which means I am often working out in international gyms or hotel fitness centres in other countries. Michael will ask for photos of the gyms and equipment available to me, then tailor the program so that my weeks away don't have a huge effect on my performance.

If you want a personal highly effective program with a trainer who actually review's your progress and amend your program to achieve your goals, I could not recommend Michael from reflex Performance highly enough.

I contacted Michael from Reflex Performance just under 12 months ago. I was looking to shed some kilograms and get into the best possible shape leading up to my wedding. Michael was able to construct a workout plan that helped me to consistently build my strength while also keeping me engaged in the gym.

Michael also developed a detailed nutrition plan, and I learned how to count calories properly and construct meals that were high in protein, nutritious, and left me feeling fuller for longer, while also being in a manageable calorie deficit. I already felt like I had a good base from doing CrossFit and Muay Thai, but I seemed to have hit a plateau. I was struggling to get stronger while also improving my cardiovascular system. So, I reached out to Michael. From the beginning, I was impressed; he was very specific with his initial testing and assessments.

Michael from Reflex Performance has been programming for me for the last 4 years. I started using Michael and his programming because my training had stagnated, and I wasn't seeing improved results. Despite being strong and fit, I found it hard to find a balance between the two.
